Collection: Commercial & Trade Gym Flooring

A commercial floor is judged on the day it stops working – when tiles creep apart under a rig, or a lifting area starts drumming through the building. This is the heavy end of the range for gyms, studios and PT facilities – 30mm to 60mm tiles, acoustic matting, turf and full sprint tracks, priced by the square metre.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best flooring for a commercial gym?
Most commercial gyms zone their flooring. Free-weight and lifting areas need thick, dense rubber such as the Sprung 43mm PRO Anti-Shock tile. General training areas work well with 20mm self-locking tiles like Sprung Konnecta. Cardio and studio areas can use rubber rolls, which give a seamless finish. How heavy a weight drop can commercial gym tiles take?
Ratings vary by tile. The Sprung 30mm CrossFit tile is rated for a maximum weight drop of 200kg. Sprung Konnecta and Onyx EPDM 20mm tiles are rated for loads up to 140kg. The Sprung PRO 43mm tile withstands drops up to 250kg and suits Olympic lifting. Check the rating on each listing against your heaviest drops.
Should a commercial gym use rubber rolls or tiles?
Rolls give a seamless surface and suit cardio, functional and low-to-medium impact areas: the Jet Black roll is 10m × 1m in 4–10mm thicknesses. Tiles go much thicker, up to 60mm, so they are the better choice where weights are dropped. Many gyms use rolls for cardio zones and tiles for free weights. Compare both in rubber flooring rolls.
