Collection: Wood Effect Gym Flooring

Wood effect gives a studio the look of a timber floor with the grip and shock absorption of rubber – the same 20mm tile underneath, printed oak or grey on top. The print is chosen to stand up to foot traffic, and matching ramp edges and corners are in stock so the perimeter finishes flush rather than stopping dead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is wood effect gym flooring suitable for heavy weights?
It depends on the tile. The Gymgear 20mm Wood Effect tile is built for cardio, light weights and studio training, and is not suitable for heavy free-weight areas such as deadlifting or powerlifting. The Sprung Konnecta Wood Effect tile is designed to withstand weights up to 140kg. For heavy drop zones, pair wood effect with thicker rubber tiles.
Can I get a sample of wood effect gym flooring?
Yes, and we recommend it: wood effect colours are easier to judge in your own room than on screen. Samples are free, including postage. Email info@motionrange.co.uk or call 0333 880 7174 with the finish you want to see. The Gymgear 20mm tile comes in Oak, Light Grey and Dark Grey.
How many wood effect tiles do I need per m²?
Our wood effect tiles measure 1m × 0.5m, so each covers 0.5m² and you need 2 tiles per square metre. A 10m² room needs 20 tiles before allowing for cuts, so order a few extra for doorways and edges. Matching edge ramps and corners are available for the Sprung Konnecta Wood Effect range. See all wood effect gym flooring.
How do wood effect gym tiles fit together?
Both of our main wood effect tiles interlock without glue. The Gymgear 20mm tile uses the EasyLock interlocking system, which is tool-free. The Sprung Konnecta Wood Effect tile uses hidden plastic connector pieces inserted underneath each tile, and these come free with the tiles. Both tiles are 20mm thick.
