How long is each edge piece, and which thickness should I choose?

Every ramped edge is 1 metre long. Choose the thickness that matches the tiles you are edging: 15mm, 20mm, 30mm or 40mm. A matching corner piece is sold separately as the Gym Floor Corner Ramped Edge.

Do the edges lock into the tiles, or do I need adhesive?

20mm, 30mm and 40mm edges connect to compatible tiles using the supplied connectors. 15mm edges and corners are too thin to take the connector pegs, so they are loose-laid or fixed with floor adhesive or heavy-duty double-sided tape at the thickest part of the edge. Floor adhesive is also required wherever an edge is not locking into compatible tiles, and we recommend securing edges down in most gym set-ups.

My edges arrived curved and do not sit flat against the tiles. What should I do?

This is common: the heavy-duty rubber can curve slightly at its thickest part after being rolled tightly for shipping and storage, and it relaxes with a little time and encouragement. Bend or roll the warped sections firmly the opposite way for a few seconds, then lay the strips flat with heavy weights (dumbbells, plates or boxes) along the thick edge for 24 to 48 hours. To speed this up, warm the thick edge gently with a hairdryer on a medium setting, keeping it moving, then put the weights back on until it has cooled. Finally, fix the edge down with heavy-duty double-sided flooring tape or rubber flooring adhesive under the thick edge so it sits flush.
